Insiden yang berlaku di hadapan tetamu dan pegawai kerajaan itu menjadi tular selepas video pendek kejadian berkenaan dimuat naik ke media sosial. Dalam rakaman tersebut, kelihatan suasana kecoh sebelum mangsa dilaporkan meninggalkan majlis dengan wajah marah.

Polis Kelantan mengesahkan laporan telah dibuat dan siasatan sedang dijalankan di bawah Seksyen 323 Kanun Keseksaan. Ketua Polis Kelantan menasihatkan orang ramai agar tidak menyebarkan video atau kenyataan yang boleh menjejaskan siasatan.

“Kami akan menjalankan siasatan secara telus dan profesional tanpa mengira kedudukan mana-mana pihak,” ujar beliau dalam kenyataan ringkas.
